Video Compression

Menu Location: Settings - Video - Video Compression

Allows one to select which video compressor to use to save the captured video files. The compressor you use effects the disk space size of  the saved captured video. Compression settings remain in effect as long as the video driver remembers it.

Important:  the visible video frame speed is effected by using a good compressor. Better the compressor the faster the video and the capture.

Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V1 is recommended.

NOTE:
The video compressor setting you select here are not saved between Web Modes, or re-starting the program. To set which compressor to use on start up or between Web Mode see menu item Settings, Program Parameters, Use Compressor number, enter the number, then Save Configuration. The number to use correlates to the positional order of compressor that appears in this scroll box. The first compressor in the scroll box is counted as 0, the second compressor in the scroll box is counted as 1 and so on, to the compressor number of your choice. The compressor number is not shown here, so one needs to calculate the number mentally and then enter it in menu item, Settings, Program Parameters, Use Compressor number = the number you calculated above. Otherwise enter -1 do disable this feature.

If get errors with Video Compression window staying open when program runs try changing the Language settings.

Example.
