Enable PasswordsMenu Location: Settings - Password - Enable Passwords To enable passwords in the windows dialog box, you must enter a password. The default password after installing the program is just clock OK without entering a password or just hit the Enter key. Enable Remote Password Forces remote users to have to enter a correct password in order to access any of the remote commands available from Video Monitoring Software Admin web page. Recommended to always keep it enabled on the public internet. You may want to disable it for testing when disconnected from the internet. If too may bad logon attempts are tried log on will be disable for a short time not allowing any log ons at all for 5 -10 minutes in case of systematic attacks (8 bad passwords). Log ons are time limited so that after a specified period of time anyone will be log off. Just log on again if you get the message "Denied - not logged on". Minutes for Auto Log Off You can specify the amount of time that anyone will be automatically logged off after first logging on. Keep the amount time as short as possible, and always log off after finishing using the Video Monitoring Software remotely over the internet. Enable Remote Access Commands Is a second level of security in case your password is breached. If you have access level set to 1, then an unauthorized remote user can only view your system but not change any parameters. 0 = no remote access of commands. 1 = only allow viewing commands but not be able to change settings. Example download video files, switch to camera, view status logs, get status.
