Monitor
Menu Location: Run
Starts video monitoring with motion detection. Only record video if there is
motion detection, and does not record if there is no motion detection. Alarms
can be set. Configure cameras from the Monitoring Control Window number pad.
This is called Monitor Mode.
Use Monitor
- if you want to use alarms
- good for detecting intrusion where there is not suppose to be a lot of
motion. Can also do many areas with a fair amount of movement.
- if you want to use as little disk space as possible.
- best for indoor cameras with steady light conditions, can also do outdoor
cameras. But if there is too much false motion detection, example from
shadows or wind swaying trees, consider trying Record.
Or sometime use Record and other times Monitor, according to a schedule.
