Video Source Menu Location: Settings - Video Audio Configuration The Video Source dialog and selections can vary depending on the video driver one is using. Typically, Video Source is important for selecting the which video input of video capture device is displayed in the main video window of the Video Surveillance WebCam Software ie the Sx Camera Window. There should be video displayed in this window. If your using our 8 port video multiplexer, then the multiplexer output should be plugged into the active video input source you have selected. This applies if you have selected Hardware Type (c) or (e). If you are using Hardware Type (d) then plug the multiplexer into the 4th video input connector of the 4 port video capture card. You can also change globally change video Brightness and Contrast here for all of your cameras. If brightness, contrast, saturation or hue, functions do not work under Video Source, and you have a Conexant based card, then use menu item Video Color to adjust these parameters. If using any black and white cameras: set Saturation=0, and Hue=0 so that color noise is removed from the image. The video driver, and not the Video Surveillance WebCam Software saves this configuration between sessions. Streaming settings, may alter these settings, unless menu item, Video Color is supported by your driver. If using WDM drivers, Video Source may also allow you to select the video capture driver, and video input as well. Select Composite if available, since sometimes if S-Video is selected there can be a loss of color in the displayed image.
