Program Sets Compression

Menu Location: Settings - Video Audio Configuration

If you this menu item, the program will save your video compression selection to the configuration file so it will automatically be selected the next time you start the program - after do menu item Save Configuration. Active if  there is a check mark beside Program Sets Compression under menu item Global Settings.

Good compressors to use are:

Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V1
Microsoft Windows Media Video 9

If the above compressors are not available use Cinepak Codec by Radius as the default.

These compressors must be used if doing File Streaming, and must match the compressor selected in the File Streaming Program if used.

Video recording speed is increase by using good compressors; example the ones listed above.

If you get errors when you select this menu item or the Video Compression dialog box stays open when your start the program, then select the right Language Settings under menu item Global Settings for the language you are using on your computer. If your Language Settings are not available in the Video Surveillance WebCam Software then use menu item  Configure Language to make language settings for you, or contact tech support. Otherwise disable this feature.

To enable or disable this feature set the check mark beside Program Sets Compression under Global Settings.
