FTP Video Files Menu Location: Settings - FTP Video Files The Video Surveillance WebCam Software can FTP video captured files to another computer on the internet. The files are sent after they are created and closed. Good for off-site storage of video files. Also good for sending the video files to your web site where you can then go to view your video captured files, instead of having to use the Video Surveillance WebCam Software computer to review the video files. FTP Video Files Settings Best way to get the settings is to use a FTP program like WS_FTP to connect to your remote computer. Once you got it right take the settings from the FTP program and plug them into the Video Surveillance WebCam Software ie into the following parameters: FTP Server Address, User Name, User Password, into Directory if using a sub-directory at the remote location. Max Number of Files to Write How many files do want stored on your remote computer. Files which are sent are renamed to 1.avi, 2.avi,3.avi etc. Old files at the ftp site are over written. For example a new 1.avi over writes the old 1.avi at the ftp site. Thus if you use a web page the file names stay the same, and no need to update the names of your links in your web page for any new files. Max Number of FTP Processes How simultaneous processes sending files do you want. If this number is exceeded then no more files will be sent. If your ftp site is has stopped receiving files or your computer is creating files faster than it can send them then Video Surveillance WebCam Software will stop sending files. Enable FTP of Video Files Enables sending files. Enable after you have verified your settings above are correct and Test FTP works fine without errors. Above settings only effective after you do a Save Configuration.
Test FTP Video File Menu Location: Settings - FTP Video Files Sends a test video file to your ftp site. Good for checking if your FTP Video Files Settings are correct. Make sure you are connected to the internet first.
