Program Windows The Video Surveillance WebCam Software and associated programs have various windows displayed on the computer screen. The windows are quite flexible to accommodate preferences e.g. re-sizable video windows, saved position, auto re-position, minimizing, and hiding. Control Windows Display Do menu item Save Configuration, to save the position of the windows, so then next time the Video Surveillance WebCam Software starts up, the windows will positioned to your preferences. Use menu item Minimize, Restore, and Position to control the display and position all the windows. Use the Hide Hot Keys to hide or unhide all the program windows. The program can startup hidden. Description of Program Windows Monitoring Control Window Is the main Video Surveillance WebCam Software window. It is main control for the program. It has menu items for commands. Shortcut buttons for some commands, program status, and a status bar at the bottom. Menu items and buttons are enabled or disabled depending what Mode the program is in. In Stop Mode, all menu items and buttons are available. Else the feature is not available on the version of the software. Use the window to monitor the program status ie which cameras are enable, alarms enable, how many frames each camera has recorded. Sx Camera Window - Main Video Window Is the Video Surveillance WebCam Software's main video window. It shows video when the program is in Stop Mode. You can use the number pad in the Monitoring Control Window to switch between cameras when the program is in Stop Mode. You also can use the number pad to configure the individual cameras. When in Stream Mode the window is hidden. When the program runs in Record or Monitor Mode, the window shows switching between cameras in sequence, thus all cameras share the same window. The camera number is shown in the window title. Use this window to see switching noise and adjust it with the Switch Faster-Slower Slider. Switching noise is a flicker when switching from one camera to the other. One can hide the Sx Camera window in Global Settings, when Monitoring or Recording. Motion Detection Window Shows motion detected. Only displayed in Monitor Mode. Can be hidden in Global Settings when Monitoring. All cameras share this window i.e. it switches displays for each camera in sequence, as indicated in the camera number in the window title. Thus motion detection, and motion detection region for each camera is shown in sequence. Any motion shows up white pixels on a black back ground. Motion Detection Sensitivity is proportional to the number of white pixels in this window. Noise Filter increases or decreases the number of white pixels. The Motion Detection Region for each camera is displayed as a blue square in this window. Window menus described below. Camera Window Each camera has its own Camera Window. The camera number is in the title of the window. The window is only displayed when Monitoring or Recording, and not displayed when Stopped, or Streaming. Just images for that camera are displayed in the window. Only enable cameras are displayed as Camera Windows. Use the this window to with your mouse to define a motion detection region, when configuring cameras. Menu items for Camera and Motion Detection Window are as follows:
also see global Minimize Restore Position Web Server Window Is the window of the built in web server program for handling the remote communications to the Video Surveillance WebCam Software. The Web Server Program is run under Global Settings, Use Web Server. The window has menu items commands to start the program to listen on a port, configure the port number, and control the program to startup hidden. See menu item Help, in the Web Server Window for a full description of all the menu item commands. Windows Media Encoder Window Displayed when doing Live Video Streaming in Stream Mode. And also displayed when doing File Streaming. The window can be displayed or hidden in Live Streaming Settings, or in the Stream File Program window - menu item Configure. Good for monitoring the progress of the streaming. Stream File Window Used to configure and run the file streaming. Only runs when Use File Streaming is enabled.
