Remote User Interface Overview The Video Surveillance WebCam Software has the following remote user interfaces. The remote user may be connected by the Internet or a LAN from another computer, a wireless Pocket PC or Smart Phone cell phone, or some other mobile device providing they are compatible. Web Browser You can use a web browser to communicate with the program. From the web browser one can do the following operations.
Live Video Streaming The Live Video Streaming is live video being streamed from your cameras in the Video Surveillance WebCam Software to a remote user. The user tells the Video Surveillance WebCam Software to change states and start streaming the video with the web browser or directly through the Video Surveillance WebCam Software's menu items. After the user is finished live video streaming the user tells the Video Surveillance WebCam Software to change states and go back to do video monitoring or recording. The user connects to the live video stream with Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player can be made to automatically popup and connect to the live video stream from the web page links in the browser which is called the Automatic Method for Remote Viewing. Or the user can open Windows Media Player by themselves and then connect to the live video stream, and this is called the Manual Method for Remote Viewing. File Streaming Streams video of the Video Surveillance WebCam Software's video captured files which the remote user can connect to and view with Windows Media Player. File Streaming can be set to run all the time while the Video Surveillance WebCam Software is running in any state. The user does not have to make the Video Surveillance WebCam Software change states in order for it to run. The remote user can start and stop File Streaming through the web browser interface. The user connects to the file video stream with Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player can be made to automatically popup and connect to the file video stream from the web page links in the browser which is called the Automatic Method for Remote Viewing. Or the user can open Windows Media Player by themselves and then connect to the file video stream, and this is called the Manual Method for Remote Viewing. Email Alarm From the received email alarm, the user can execute File Streaming commands to view a video stream of the captured video files which have alarms in them.
