Example Web Browser

The following example shows how to connect to the program with a web browser.

First make sure:

  • the Video Surveillance WebCam Software is up and running.
  • the Web Server Program is up and running.

Find your Computer IP Address.

Open your web browser ie Microsoft Internet Explorer

In the web browser Address field enter one of the following:

Substitute your computer's actual IP Address for the word ComputerIPAddress above, or your computer's name.

(If you were connecting from the internet and using a router or modem-router, then it would be http://RouterIPAddress/logon.htm, where the RouterIPAddress would be your router's ip address as seen from the internet ie WAN address.)

and then click Go, in the web browser.

Result: you should get the Log On Page in your web browser shown below.

Enter Password

 


Click enter or enter your password then click enter.

Result: you see the Home Page as shown below.

Admin Page
Mobile Admin Page
Media Player Page

Log Off


In the Home Page, click on link Admin Page.

Result: you should see the Admin Page as shown below. It has all the remote commands.

Re-Log On to Program if Log On Timed Out

Enter Password

Log Off


Troubleshooting:

possible causes of error:

  • the computer does not have an ip address
  • anti-virus or firewall software blocking program or ports.
  • some cable modems do not allow internal access to your own ip address
  • web browser problem, clear cached web pages, history, and try again or adjust its network settings.
  • browser session timed out, close browser try again.
  • Web Server problem port already in use.
